I’m looking into getting custom embroidered patches no minimum, and I’m running into the same problem everywhere. Nearly every supplier I find wants a minimum order of 50, 100, or even 500 patches. I only need a handful, maybe 5 to 10, for a few jackets and a couple of bags I’m making as gifts.



I’ve seen a few places advertising “no minimum” patches, but I’m sceptical. In my experience, offers like that usually come with a catch, like a huge price per patch or a lower-quality finish. Before I spend any money, I’d love to hear from anyone who’s actually done this:



Is it realistic to order custom embroidered patches in very small quantities, even just one or two?

How much more per patch should I expect to pay compared to a bulk order?

Is there a setup or digitising fee, and is that usually charged separately?

Does the quality drop on small runs, or is it the same as larger orders?

How long does production usually take for a small custom order?

Can I choose the backing (iron-on, sew-on, or Velcro) even on a tiny order?

What file format do I need for my design, and do they help if my artwork isn’t perfect?



I’d also be interested in any tips on keeping the cost down, such as simplifying the design, limiting colours, or choosing a standard size. If you’ve got photos of patches you’ve ordered in small batches, that would help me judge what’s realistic.
