Step-by-Step Tutorial for Pinpoint Pitching in MLB The Show 26 (5 อ่าน)

7 พ.ค. 2569 10:23

Pinpoint Pitching in MLB The Show 26 is the most precise pitching mechanic in the game. It gives you full control over where the ball goes, but it requires careful attention to three key elements: motion, timing, and release. Master these, and you’ll hit the corners of the strike zone like a pro.

1. Select Your Pitch and Aim

Choose Your Pitch: Use the face buttons to pick a pitch from your pitcher’s arsenal. Fastballs are easier to start with, while sliders and curveballs have more complex gestures.

Aim the Pitch: Move the Left Stick to position your ball marker inside the strike zone.

Optional: Enable Fixed Pitch Location: Turning this on in settings prevents your aim from snapping back to the center after each pitch, giving you more consistency.

2. Execute the Pitch Motion (The Trace)

After aiming, a gesture pattern appears on the screen—this is your path to a perfect pitch.

Trace the Pattern: Move the Right Stick to follow the blue/green line displayed.

Match the Speed: Your tracing speed matters. A green line means you’re on tempo, while yellow or red shows you’re too fast or slow.

Watch the Visual Aid: The top circle will start closing as you complete the motion. This gives you a visual cue for timing your release.

3. Time the Release (The Snap)

This is the most critical step for accuracy.

Hold at the Peak: Pause briefly when you reach the top of the gesture.

Watch the Closing Circle: Look at the circle near the bottom of the gesture meter—it shrinks toward the center as a timing indicator.

Snap Down: Just as the circle aligns with the inner ring, flick the Right Stick down toward your target. This final snap determines vertical accuracy and velocity.

4. Analyze Your Feedback

After the pitch, the game breaks down your performance:

Gesture Accuracy: How well you followed the pattern (aim for 90%+).

Timing: How close your snap was to the circle closing (measured in milliseconds).

Angle: Whether your snap was straight down or slightly off-angle.

Use this feedback to fine-tune your motions for each pitch type.

Tips for Success

Start with Fastballs: Simpler motions make them forgiving while you learn timing.

Custom Practice: Practice all pitch types in Custom Practice mode before online play.

Handedness Matters: Motion patterns are mirrored for right-handed vs. left-handed pitchers.

Mastering Pinpoint Pitching takes patience, but once you get the rhythm of the trace and snap, you’ll dominate the strike zone every time.
